DIstinguished Leader Award

The DIstinguished Leader Award acknowledges individuals who demonstrate exceptional accomplishment, innovation, leadership, and performance in the Destination Imagination program. The DIstinguished Leader Award recognizes teamwork, leadership, and creative problem solving abilities.

Applications are accepted September 1 - January 15

Criteria for attaining the OHDI South West DIstinguished Leader Award

• Students must meet criteria in six categories. These criteria emphasize elements of leadership, mentorship, program development, creativity, and service.

• An essay, describing how you have demonstrated leadership in the DI program or how the program has affected your leadership abilities and how you have applied that lesson to your life, must accompany your application.

• A letter of recommendation for your Team Manager or Program Coordinator.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee, which may include representatives of the OHDI South West Region Governing Board.
